I baught this set of vibration dampners at Bass pro Shops a few weeks back and tried them on Matilda with not much effect in comparison to the Sims Limbsavers. BUT I did however try something unconventional ( imagine me doing that??) I cut the the dampner down to about a 1/4 inch thick and removed the limb bolts and the limbs and placed the piece between the inside of limb and the limb pocket. Now these are dome shaped and very soft and pliable, my Matilda has to keep the limb bolts backed out about 2 1/2 -3 turns to keep the poundage right and I always noticed a slight pop when fired whicj people that shoot bows at the minimum pounds with limb bolts backed out may know what I mean. This little trial removed all sound and vibration completely, even if you keep your limbs cranked down you could still do this as soft as they are. They didn`t work out on the limbs but inside them it was amazing. Here is a pic of what was left after I cut them this part I throw away, the rest of it looked the same just thicker.

I saw those at Bass Pro last night. I was kinda skeptical about them. Thought about buying one, but I figured I would stick with my Sims. Thanks for being a rebel and testing them. I may try that in the future.

I am always up to try something different but like you I am sticking with my Sims,, but I will tell you that cutting them down and placing them between the limb and the limb pocket did make a difference. I had always wondered if some sort of cushion or shock absorber there would make any difference and it does. I am going to try to find some more around here and start offering it to my customers.

Did you get a pic of it in the pocket? I would like to see it if you did.

No,,but if you cut it down and then cut a hole in the center it slides right over the bolt and fits down in the limp pocket nicely. Not noticable at all.
